Performs a variety of Auto Electrical work in the workshop & field in accordance with well-defined procedures and guidelines. Work entails the use of judgment and initiative.   

Report to In-Charge Auto-Electrician

In-Charge provides general supervision instructions on a new assignment and checks completed work for accuracy.


  • Maintain daily contact with the immediate Supervisor for work assignments, guidance, and assistance.
  • Maintain harmonious working relations with co-workers.


  • Repairs and overhauls electrical systems in automotive vehicles, such as Trucks, Cranes, Dozer, etc.
  • Determines malfunction of electrical system by visual inspection and by use of testing devices, such as voltmeter, ammeter, etc. Use of various types of precision measuring equipment to a reasonable degree of accuracy.
  • Work includes diagnosing, maintenance, overhauls, and repairs on all types of auto-electric equipment, such as starters, alternators, etc., both in the workshop and in the fields.
  • Prepares the parts requirement against the work order and forecast requirements.
  • Keep work area clean and tidy and co-operate with other employees.
  • Carries out other duties such as assisting in directing the work of lower graded employees.   


  • Completion of Secondary education (12 years) plus a 2-year Diploma in Electrical / Electronic.
  • 5 years experience in maintenance of heavy equipment such as Grove, Kenworth, GM, Volvo, Western Star, etc.
  • Good knowledge of English languages (Spoken & Written).
  • Ability to read Wiring diagrams, sketches, and manuals.

Required Driving License for Heavy Equipment.
